• Planning, installing, maintaining repairing and removing, rebuilding machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure production lines or equipment are set at normal operating conditions for proper start-up and shut down.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections on assigned equipment and complete accurate reports.
  • Prepare and execute preventative and predictive maintenance schedules.
  • Keep supervisor informed of any changes in operating procedures, any unusual


  • Industrial Maintenance experience.
  • Comply with OHSA and all of its applicable regulations.
  • Personal Protective equipment as prescribed.
  • Comply with CRH safety rules, policies and procedures.
  • Report all incidents and near misses.
  • Report all safety hazards.
  • Follow Lockout/Tag out procedures.
  • Emergency response plan awareness.
  • ISO 9001 and 14001 compliance is a benefit.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Participate in the creation of training materials for operator training.
  • Perform machining requirements, including the proper use of lathes, mills, surface grinders, drill presses, welding and brazing equipment, and other machine shop related practices.
  • Welding, cutting, brazing on various types of metal.
  • Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks and tractors, to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery.



  • Good written/oral communication skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Required Experience

  • 2 to 5 years’ experience
  • Licensed Millwright (433)
